Our story

Stepping Stone Hardscape started with a simple belief: an outdoor space should be built to outlast the people who install it. Too many patios and walls in our area were failing within a few seasons — not because of the pavers, but because of what was skipped underneath them.
So we built the company around the base. Proper excavation, compacted aggregate, drainage, geogrid on taller walls, and polymeric-sanded joints on every job. It’s slower and it costs more to do — and it’s the reason our work still looks new years after the crew has gone.
Today we design and build patios, retaining walls, walkways, driveways, outdoor kitchens, and complete outdoor living spaces for homeowners and businesses across St. Mary’s, Calvert, and Charles County — and keep them cleared through winter, too.
